CrickleUkers

Crickleukers is friendly, welcoming monthly ukulele jam session at the library. On the first Friday of every month, 1930-2100, we meet in the library to strum and sing together.

CrickleUkers is free, but a small donation, to help cover our running costs, is muc appreciated.

Joining CrickleUkers

We meet on the first Friday of every month, from 1930-2100. Beginners normally join Brendan in the back room for the first half hour, to brush up on or learn chords, and then join the experienced players in the front for a strum and sing along later.

Numbers are limited due to space constraints, so you MUST reserve a place.

No Ukulele?

No problem! Don’t let it stop you coming along. We have 8 soprano ukes and two tenors (for bigger fingers) that you can borrow while you’re there, plus a few tuners to help keep you in line. If you want to be sure of a uke, come early. First come, first served!

Refreshments

We may eventually be able to run a donation bar, but until we can, feel free to bring along a drink or nibbles to share.

What do we play?

We’ve been using the Ukulele Wednesdays Songbook and it’s working great. We don’t print out music (what a waste of paper that would be!) so, unless you get there early and secure a spot right in front of the TV screen, make sure you bring a tablet or mobile to read your tabs.

Cost

It’s free to attend, but of course we have running costs to cover and there’s an opportunity to make a small contribution if you like when you book your place. But don’t worry – this is not an expectation, and shouldn’t stop you coming along.

Age Appropriate?

Most attendees are adults, but some kids come along with parents. Suitable for 8 and up, probably. Absolutely no unattended under-16s though, thanks!
