Buying Online for Work?

If you buy online for work (e.g. office supplies, IT equipment, flights or train tickets) you can raise £100s for Cricklewood Library by using easyfundraising.org.uk, without any additional cost to your business.
easyfundraising works with lots of business retailers like Amazon, Staples, Viking, Apple, thetrainline, who will donate a small percentage of what you spend to Cricklewood Library to say thank you for shopping with them.

All you have to do is:

1. Go to https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/cricklewoodlibrary/
2. Sign up for free
3. Get shopping – your donations will be collected by easyfundraising and automatically sent to Cricklewood Library. It couldn’t be easier!

Using the easyfundraising website will not cost you a penny. There are no catches or hidden charges and the library will be really grateful for your donations.

Thank you for your support. We’re going to have a fantastic community library.

Pop-Up Library at Willesden Green Station

So, how’s it going? It’s been a couple of weeks now. Are you using the library? Have you found a good book you’d like to review? If we get enough interest in this we’ll start a reviewing page.

You may have noticed that the books for loan have a small label inside them with details of how to contact the library campaign, and also asking you to volunteer, donate and otherwise support us. If you are donating books, it would be lovely if you could also use our labels for this so that the message gets out there with every book.

You can download the labels here: https://www.cricklewoodlibrary.org.uk/resources/. They fit standard Avery label sizes and there are two to choose from.

Thanks so much for your support and let us know of any way in which we can improve the library.

Cricklewood Library Goes Large

We may not have opened (yet!) but we are branching out. To coincide with National Library Day 2016 on Saturday 6 February, you’ll find a branch library down at Willesden Green Tube Station. Commuters will be able to pick up a book on the way to work and drop it back off again when finished. We’re planning a book stickering campaign and hope we’ll hear from our books as they travel the tube network (well, OK, maybe from their readers.

If you’ve passed through Oval Station (@Oval_Station), you may already have seen a similar set up (here’s an Instagram pic). We like their style – books and thoughts for the day to cheer the weary commuter.

Many thanks to the lovely manager at Willesden Green, Fernando, for his support for the library.
