Tyan is an actress, baby and toddler sign language teacher and a creative freelancer for Dramagical Entertainment Ltd.
After completing her degree in Performance Studies with Musical Theatre she entered the teaching world where her aim has always been to help the younger generation combat issues just as important as academic studies.
During her teachers training she worked closely with the special educational needs and English as an Additional Language departments. She completed a short introductory course in play therapy and shadowed a therapist for a year using these skills to mentor children and staff members. She spent so much time creating workshops celebrating diversity and promoting equality for children to learn about each other’s cultures and parents too that she decided to become a creative freelancer. Tyan has created and delivered many workshops for all different age groups. She has collaborated with educational centres, councils, libraries and museums.
She provides children’s workshops reaching out to every child’s need for personal expression and that feeling of equality as ‘drama’ provided her as a child! You may have seen her in West Hampstead Library, Swiss Cottage Library or St Pancras Square Library where she can be found weekly running the Story and Rhyme Time. She also regularly creates seasonal ‘Story and Rhyme Time with Tyan’ workshops in Brent and Camden Libraries.
Have your instruments ready to play along, your dancing feet and your beautiful smiles for some Dramagical Entertainment!
